What an incredible event! His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Wofgang von Zeppelin, Cornelius Dornier, Erik Lindbergh, Bertrand Piccard and Sergei Sikorsky lend their support to the Lindbergh Electric Aircraft Prize and the LEAP Education Program at Aero Friedrichshafen Germany on April 13th.  Prince Albert brought two students from Monaco to join two students from Germany and four high school students from the US to form our first international LEAP Student Team. After the round table discussion we toured several of the electric aircraft manufacturers at Aero amidst crowds of photographers, and security. The students are creating short video documentaries on the birth of the electric aircraft industry and got the only video interview with Prince Albert! After the tour we went to a VIP lunch where the Aviation High School team represented by Kevin, and the Hale Academy Team represented by Rocky gave a breifing and showed their first LEAP Student documentaries and got a tremendous reception.  Yesterday we got to go out to the runway to watch six different electric aircraft  fly and interview the inventors and entrepreneurs behind these amazing aircraft. What an effort – huge thanks to everyone who helped us to pull this event off: Sikorsky Helicopters, the Prince Albert II Foundation of Monaco and the organizers of Aero – Messe Friedrichshafen. We cant wait to come back to Aero next year!
